Paula Fernández Pfizenmaier is a partner in the Intellectual Property, Privacy, New Technologies and Legal Advertising Department. She entered Bruchou in 2020 and has a track record of over 15 years in matters related to intellectual property.
She specializes in advising on trademark related issues, including all matters concerning the registration and management of IP portfolios and trademark opposition proceedings, privacy and new technology, as well as various other issues related to advertising and legal marketing.
Prior to joining the firm, Paula acted as a lawyer for more than 10 years in the Intellectual Property Department of Perez Alati, Grondona, Benites & Arntsen. She was also a partner in Intellectual Property and Advertising with Randle Law Firm.
Paula is a member of the INTA (International Trademark Association), currently part of the “Unreal Campaign” Committee, which focuses on educating the youth on the importance of intellectual property. Additionally, Paula has been elected regional president of GALA (Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance) for the 2021-2023 period. She is currently a member of the Intellectual Property Commission of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce; Marketing Committee of legal firms of the AAAPI (Asociación Argentina de Agentes de la Propiedad Intelectual). She is a member of the Public Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires and a member of the Bar Association of the Province of Buenos Aires.
Paula graduated from Law School at the Universidad Católica Argentina in 2002, and has completed several postgraduate courses. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on issues related to Intellectual Property and Legal Advertising (both in Argentina and abroad) and regularly writes articles in specialized publications.
Furthermore, she has been recognized in her field for several consecutive years by Chambers and Partners, WTR (World Trademark Review) and Legal500.
