We are pleased to announce that our Annual Year in Review seminar will be going ahead on Wednesday, 12th January 2021. But this time, for obvious reasons, our review will be in the form of a webinar, rather than a seminar.
Rather than our usual breakfast slot, we've taken the opportunity of a webinar format to move the event to 4.30p.m., so that our friends in North America can join us too. So don't worry if your ticket for President Biden's inauguration gets lost in the post, you'll still have the hottest ticket in town.
We'll be covering a wide range of issues including BlackLivesMatter, Greenwashing, the latest CMA & ASA updates, developments in data protection, and much, much more. Not only will we be looking back at the developments in 2020, but we'll also be discussing what's coming up in 2021, including the outcome of the much criticised consultation on banning HFSS advertising online.
The good news is that we can now guarantee everyone a seat (unlike the embarrassing over-crowding of last year). The only proviso is that you have to bring your own seat. Delicious refreshments will also be available and there is no need to stick to Dry January if you don't want to. We won't tell. But again, you'll have to bring your own food and drink, which may come as a relief if you've ever attended one of our events.
But wait, there is even more good news! The traditional line up of me, Brinsley Dresden, together with my partners Jo Farmer and Geraint Lloyd-Taylor has been expanded to include our partner and resident guru in data protection for marketing , Bryony Long.

Thank you so much for reading our blog this year, we hope you've enjoyed it. We look forward to "seeing" you at the seminar in the new year, and in the meantime, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, from everyone on the Advertising & Marketing Team at Lewis Silkin.
