Free webinar: What’s new and what’s next for online safety? AVAILABLE TO VIEW NOW

Thank you for joining us for our webinar on the latest developments in relation to the Online Safety Bill, but if you couldn't make the live event, don't worry, it's now available to view online.

In this webinar, we discussed the current bill, and the radical changes to it that have been proposed by both the Joint Committee and DCMS Committee on online safety.

Many of these changes are likely to be taken forward, and are likely to include: changes to the categories of businesses and platforms that come within its scope, changes to the way online harms are defined and updated (making that process more democratically accountable), bringing paid advertising within its scope, and giving Ofcom even stronger enforcement powers.

As this important new regime takes another big step forward, our resident experts Jo Farmer, Giles Crown and Geraint Lloyd-Taylor were joined by the erudite Lord Clement-Jones, a member of the Joint Committee of MPs and Peers charged with reviewing the draft Bill, andThe speakers explored the direction of travel, the timeframes in which this new regime will come into force, and what it's likely to mean for you and your business.

If you signed up to the event, a link will be winging its way to you shortly. Otherwise, if you would like a link to the webinar, feel free to contact Jo, Geraint or Giles directly - simply click on the names above for their contact details.
