You're Invited: "Environmental Claims and the Law: Navigating a Rapidly Shifting Landscape"

As part of Climate Week NYC, Frankfurt Kurnit will be hosting a program, “Environmental Marketing Claims and the Law:  Navigating a Rapidly Shifting Landscape."  The program will be held in person, on September 26, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Frankfurt Kurnit's offices in Manhattan.

At the program, Jordyn Milewski and I will discuss recent legal and policy developments and provide practical guidance on how companies can promote their sustainability initiatives while mitigating legal risks.  We'll be covering a wide range of environmental marketing topics, including updates to the Green Guides, new state laws, how to make aspirational claims, the risks associated with making “sustainable” claims and other general environmental benefit claims, the challenges with even making specific benefit claims in light of recent litigation against fossil fuel companies, the use of seals and certifications, and recent developments related to “net zero” and “recyclable” claims.  Then, Charles C. Herschel, Senior Counsel & Vice President, American Express, will lead a discussion on some of the toughest questions that marketers face today.

It should be a great program.  We hope you will join us!  For more information, and to register, click here.
